As can be seen from the pictures this Ginetta has been heavily modified from the original so would not be for the purist. This G15 has been in my possession from late 1999 and over the last couple of years has undergone restoration with a view to getting it back on the road. The chassis and body were split and the chassis sand blasted. No rust was found as the chassis had been replaced sometime in the past before my ownership. Chassis strengthened and then powder coasted black. Removable bar created across the back to make engine removal easier. All chassis work undertaken by Col Rooney who is well known within the Imp Community for the quality of his work. Body work reprofiled slightly and painted in RAL6005 Moss Green. Paint is not perfect as there are some scratches and minor crazing. Suspension was all striped, sand blasted and powder coated or replaced as required. New steering rack fitted with solid alloy rack mounting kit including the steering rack security mount kit. SPAX adjustable dampers fitted all round. New aluminium fuel tank and water header tank in rear. All new wiring using the Car Builder Solutions Wiring Module – so plenty of fuses and relays. This needs a bit of tidying up and a cover made. I have wired all the earths so does not rely on the chassis for the earth returns. Wiring includes the harness for a Davies Craig Water Pump but the pump and digital LCD controller is not included. Quick release steering boss fitted but will come with the original steering boss and Mountney steering wheel. All new instruments and a GPS speedometer fitted so getting rid of the problematic speed sensor from the front wheel. New doors fitted with polycarbonate sliding screens and metal mini catches fitted. Seats are Corbeau Sportsman Reclining Seats and there are a set of Clubman seats also included. Some fettling will be required to the seat fitting as currently they do not slide. Seat belts are 3 point Willans. Complete carpet is included but not fitted. Picture shown with engine fitted but the car will come without an engine as this is being removed to put into my Davrian. Gearbox, competition doughnuts and driveshafts fitted and will come with the car. Revolution wheels have all been refurbished and painted grey and have brand new Yokohama tyres fitted. Old windscreen fitted but a new one is included Car is located in Horsham, West Sussex. Having just aquired a much modified G32 which I would like to go Hill Climbing with, is there anybody out there could give me some advice about the fitting of a roll cage. I intend to get it professionally made but I am interested in anybody else who has done this and can give me some pointers.
