Ginetta G55

Constructed from: 2011, the cars have Ford v6 CSG-637 engines of 3.70l, producing 355 bhp.

Compete in the  various formats

An evolution of the G50, with improved aerodynamics, and drive-train. Virtually all G50's were retrofitted and upgraded to G55 specification, which was a requirement to compete in varous championships (I also suspect that the original homologation of the G50 was about to expire).

Ginetta G55 GT4

Constructed from: 2011, the cars have Ford v6 CSG-637 engines of 3.70l, producing 355 bhp.

Compete in the GT Championships running to GT-4 regs

Run by three teams in British GT, 2011, and seven teams in 2012, the GT4 car was very competitive and successful.

 Ginetta G55 Supercup

Constructed from: 2011, the cars have Ford v6 CSG-637 engines of 3.70l, producing 355 bhp.

Compete in the Ginetta Supercup (TOCA package)

The Ginetta Supercup cars, were, in effect of GT4 specification - in fact, I believe one or two did run in both championships for a while, but different tyre performance characteristics (Avon for GT and Michelin for the Supercup) coupled with a lack of allowed testing, proved problematic in the set-up of cars running in both series.

 Ginetta G55 GT3

Constructed from: 2012, the cars have Nissan v8 VK45DD engines of 4.35l, producing 650 bhp.

Compete in the GT Championships running to GT-3 regs

Identifiable by virtue of the larger rear wing, the GT3 car was run by five teams in 2011 and four in 2012, the GT3 proving to be very popular.
